Reporting directly to Technical Manager, the Information and Communication Technology Technician (ICTT) will be responsible for supporting the internal systems of the company. This will cover desktops / laptops, servers, phones, etc. To setup new starters / re-assign equipment to users as and when needed. Part of this role will be to form part of the support desk.
The ICTT, who will be office based, unless otherwise requested, will also be responsible for the upkeep and setup of training courses that the company runs. The specifics being; setup of courses for a specified number of delegates in accordance to the training manual for that course, ensuring that there is enough equipment for the course, making sure there are enough manuals for the course, clearing away the course, rebuilding the PCs for the next course, shipping the equipment to site if the course is not held in the office.
Training is available to fulfil the above requirements but it is the ICTTs responsibility to self learn some parts of the role (books / documents / resource provided).
In addition to the standard day to day responsibilities, the ICTT will also put aside time to familiarise him/herself with the current distribution product set and internal systems working through a pre-determined set of priorities, sitting formal accreditation programs as required. This will enable the ICTT to act as backup/resilience to both the Presales and Software Support functions.
