IR Requirements Engineer
Analytical Instrumentation company currently seek a Requirements Engineer educated to Honors Degree or better in a scientific subject with at least 5 years experience in a target industry role with knowledge of molecular spectroscopy applications. Any knowledge of IR spectroscopy, ideally with UV and/or Thermal analysis would be an advantage.
Your role will be to support the development of new and existing molecular spectroscopy products, in particular in the area of Molecular spectroscopy (IR and UV) within the R&D group (nearly 50 staff).
Priorities and Objectives
The Requirements Engineering role is at the front end of the project and takes the input from field staff, customers, and end-users and distills that knowledge to create usable User Requirement Specifications. They then work with the engineering team to create Functional Specifications that address those requirements. An RE may also undertake software user interface design work, depending on skills and experience.
The Expert Tester role is at the rear end of the project and takes the prototype product and uses it as an end-user would do to ensure that it is fit purpose. The role also encompases working with customers to get feedback on alpha and beta products.
