Description
Our client requires an IPT Lead Engineer for an 18 month contract with a rate of 42.96.
Project Description
Manage the IGB IPT to ensure all affected parties are aware of and supporting the design and make activity. Specifically:
Produce, manage and deliver to integrated design, make and validate plans for agreed change programmes.
Assist the Work Package Owner in preparing business case assessments to support change management.
Be a problem owner for issues arising from the Engine Test

Project Description
Manage the IGB IPT to ensure all affected parties are aware of and supporting the design and make activity. Specifically:
Produce, manage and deliver to integrated design, make and validate plans for agreed change programmes.
Assist the Work Package Owner in preparing business case assessments to support change management.
Be a problem owner for issues arising from the Engine Test Programme, part manufacture, delivery etc.
Perform or ensure root cause analysis is completed.
Ensure mitigating actions are in place.
Track issues to closure.
Essential Skills
Project Management, specifically:
Management of work through complex organisational structure.
Project planning, estimating and execution.
Knowledge of the component design and make process within RR.
Leadership skills to get things done without line management authority.
High energy and drive.
Knowledge of the New Product Introduction process within RR.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advantageous Skills
Knowledge of gas turbine transmission systems.
Familiarity with Risk Management.
Supply Chain Management.
Depth of Experience
Minimum 10 years in Engineering in a new product introduction environment, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
Industry Experience
Minimum 5 years in Aerospace sector either in a technical or project management role.
