INGRES developers required on contract basis to work for major defence consultancy based in Oxfordshire.
INGRES developers required on contract basis to work for major defence consultancy based in Oxfordshire.
I am currently inviting applications from INGRES developers to work on a major government programme based in Oxfordshire. Candidates will ensure the delivery of part of this programme to budgetary and time constraints. Candidates should so demonstrable expertise in INGRES (ABF) and a good understanding of SQL. Further desirable skills include:
Report writing skills.
HP Unix shell scripting.
HP Unix operating system.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
Design and code system enhancements.
Carry out unit testing of program deliverables.
Carry out peer reviews of program units produced by other members of the development team.
Assist Testers so that they can gain the necessary understanding of system behaviour to enable efficient and effective independent testing to be carried out.
PLEASE NOTE: candidates will be required to undergo MoD Security Clearance prior to appointment.
