Description
IM Security Architect - is required for this leading supplier to the aerospace & defence sector. The role works within the Global IT structure and is responsible for the UK security. A newly created role managing the security of data across multiple sites in the UK.
Responsibilities include; Develops practical & innovative ways to identify & meet goals. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Providing technical and/or project leadership function for assigned engineering analysis and computing projects. Work within the framework of established operating procedures to implement security measures for the business' information assets. Origination & maintenance of accreditation documentation, procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information systems. Focus on the protection of information systems, corporate information and intellectual property assets in order to prevent the intentional or inadvertent access, modification, disclosure, or destruction of those assets, with particular emphasis on compliance with UK national security requirements. Assist in the preparation of & approve appropriate reports and communicate status and results. Make technical decisions by applying fundamental engineering principles and specialized knowledge or skills to assigned tasks. Estimate costs and schedules, recommend resource required and solutions to problems, which arise during the course of a project. Collaborate with management in developing technical directions, setting objectives, and setting realistic and challenging goals. Implement work activities to meet these plans, monitor progress, and report status. Assist in the modification or establishment of operating practices. Liaise with external government agencies and accreditors.

Qualifications/Requirements: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience. Hold a current CISSP and/or CLAS certification. Detailed knowledge of UK Government/MoD and regulatory requirements for the Aerospace and Defence Industry.
