ROLE:IC Design Engineer
SALARY:£40-50k + pension, healthcare, life assurance etc
LOCATION:Essex (relocation assistance provided)
An experienced IC Design Engineer is required to play a key role in the design of future products, and manage high profile projects, for a world-leader in the design, development and supply of low-power analogue, digital and mixed-signal semiconductors for telecommunications systems worldwide. An experienced IC Design Engineer, you will have proven experience in the practical design of Sigma-Delta A-D and D-A converters, a sound understanding of the theory of operation.
TASKS: Understand the details of a product's requirements and to produce a design specification on which a design can be based. Carry out the detailed design according to the requirements in the specification and verify, by modelling and simulation, that the requirements are fully met. Document the design so as to explain its operation and to provide information that will allow its usage in a finished IC product
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Degree in Physics or Electronic Engineering disciplines, and several years of practical IC design. Proven experience in the practical design of Sigma-Delta A-D and D-A converters and a sound understanding of the theory of operation. Further understanding of how to apply such knowledge in the design of Fractional-n synthesisers would be also useful. You will be expected to have abilities in other areas of analogue and digital design and be familiar with modern CAD tools.
