Description
Automotive consultancy requires Hydraulic Engineer for long term south coast based contract. Off-Highway hydraulics experience would be ideal.
Hydraulic Systems Engineer Design, development and test of complex hydraulic and hydrostatic vehicle systems
Mechanical engineering degree / HND / Experience
> Experience in vehicle hydraulic systems
> Practical working knowledge of hydraulic components and systems including load sense systems and hydrostatic drives
IT skills:
> MS office
> Hydraulic simulation (AMESim or EASY5) Not essential
Responsibilities:
> Vehicle Hydraulic component and system design.
> Schematic generation
> Manifold layout and configuration
> Liaise with customer and component suppliers
> Specification of hydraulic components
> Hydraulic system testing including fault diagnosis vehicle sign off and deriving solutions
> Support vehicle demonstration and field testing
> Interact with vehicle design and control system departments to develop effective solutions
Qualities:
> Some international travel necessary
Reporting to: Chief Engineer Project based
