Our client is a leading Engineering consultancy and services company. With over 20 years of experience, their customer portfolio includes well known blue-chip companies. They are now looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager / Quality Assurance Manager to ensure continued compliance and help improve systems, processes and competences in these important areas.
Health and Safety Manager / Quality Assurance Manager HSE
North West (Home Based)
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced HSE/QA professional looking for an interesting and rewarding challenge. Based in our clients office in South Wales, or working from home, you will spend much of your time in the field - visiting staff and customers throughout the UK with some limited International travel.
As the Health and Safety Manager / Quality Assurance Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- advising on, and promoting HSE and QA policies and objectives
- establishing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders, clients, staff and professional bodies
- identifying individual responsibilities and managing training needs for staff
- driving continuous improvement in HSE practices and procedures and implementing action plans
- ensuring continued compliance with existing QA standards (including ISO9001 2000)
- improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality system and procedures
To succeed in this position you must have proven experience in a senior HSE role and current working knowledge of HSE legislation. You must also hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), and ideally IOSH membership.
Additionally, as the Health and Safety Manager / Quality Assurance Manager you must be a qualified Systems Auditor with experience in quality management systems, and a background in an engineering environment. This role will also require your strong command of English, excellent communication skills, and a full UK driving licence.
