Our client is a European Chemical company. They are currently looking to appoint a high calibre Health & Safety Director.
If you fully understand the competitive advantage of a proactive Safety, Health and Environmental Affairs capability, and you have the experience and gravitas to deliver it within a global corporation then this newly defined position could be of real interest to you.
Reporting directly to the European Vice President / General Manager, and as part of the European senior management team, as the Health & Safety Manager you will have responsibility for delivering the internal performance of an already highperforming, three-site European business with a turnover of about £120 million.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the external and regulatory partnerships, and you will advise the Management team in order to deliver a competitive advantage.
To succeed as the Health & Safety Director you must have significant safety, health and environmental experience, gained from within a national corporate business in the Chemicals or similar sector.
With your own intellect, application and thinking style, you will also have a degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering. Additionally, you must have the professionalism to command the respect of, and contribute to, a high-performing team.
