The main scope of the role is to manage the company Safety Management System, and prepare all relevant documentation for internal and external audits.
It is critical that you have experience of undertaking health and safety management on multi-million construction projects and are familiar with delivering all safety aspects of major development.

THE COMPANY
Provide a comprehensive service for multi-million pound design and build, PFI and traditional contracts throughout the UK. Specialist sector skills include health, education, commercial, industrial, government, defence, pharmaceutical and retail.
We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to work on a £45m glass fronted commercial building in central Reading.
REQUIREMENTS
The main scope of the role is to manage the company Safety Management System, and prepare all relevant documentation for internal and external audits.
It is critical that you have experience of undertaking health and safety management on multi-million construction projects and are familiar with delivering all safety aspects of major development.
It is absolutely essential that you have experience of managing safety on both large construction projects and also have a demonstrable understanding of working closely with an overland railway interface, and appreciation of the intricacies of such work.
THE ROLE
Will involve both strategic safety management and also hands-on management of safety initiatives carried out on site.
You must be able to liaise at all levels and represent the company on all safety matters plus deal with relevant accreditation and legislative bodies and any other third parties.
THE PERSON
The successful applicant should:
Hold MIOSH status as a minimum
Have an Environmental qualification
Show an appreciation of behavioural safety methods.
Essentially you will have experience of working for a large construction contracting organisation
Be competent in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and client requirements.
