They are currently in the exciting start up phase of this programme and need to appoint a Head of Flight Operations to develop our operational solution, in particular to secure the necessary civil licensing approvals, through introduction into service and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with experience in senior management and flying supervision in either an airline or a Royal Air Force air transport or air-to-air refuelling squadron. It is essential that you will be acceptable to the CAA as a Nominated Post Holder for Flight Operations, and you must have experience of achieving an AOC approval.

Detailed knowledge of civilian regulations relating to flight operations and flight crew licensing is essential. A similar level of knowledge of military aviation regulations will be a distinct advantage. You must hold a current ATPL (A). Ideally you will have an A330 type rating and experience of managing flight crew training.

Used to building effective relationships with key stakeholders and achieving results through high performance practices, you will be able to demonstrate clear strategic and leadership ability underpinned by excellent interpersonal skills.

We are currently based near Bristol but will be relocating to new facilities near RAF Brize Norton in October 2008.
