Description
Head of Real Estate requuired for prestige consulting client, working within the group to lead and inspire and become responsible for development and growth of this unit. You will be experienced and from a Planning / Regeneration background and will have international experience.
Head of Real Estate / Property Advisory Services
Our prestigious consulting client provides integrated strategic design, management and implementation consultancy for the built environment. The urban and regional planning team, working closely with related groups for environmental and infrastructure projects and takes a holistic approach to projects which combine:
Analysis, Planning and Design: for all factors impacting on the growth and development of a city, region, urban area or major urban element. The scope includes developing responses not only for city structure, public realm, infrastructure and transportation but also demographic, social, economic, environmental and business planning elements.
Economics and Business Consultancy: developing the business viability case for a project and helping clients to access the finance and develop the financial packages and delivery mechanisms necessary to implement a project.
Capacity Building and Organisational Development: assisting client organisations to develop the processes, structures, systems and skills necessary to implement their vision and plans and significant projects.
Consultation: working with key public and private stakeholders and general public to understand requirements and to develop a shared vision and common approach to delivering it.
Implementation: identifying and prioritising the projects necessary to deliver a plan and assisting with the procurement, management and delivery of those projects.
The clients Consulting Real Estate and Property Team, provides a high level integrated service to private and public sector developer clients for major projects. The team takes a leading role in the:
•Development and review of project design and business strategies.
•Development of approaches to project finance.
•Development and implementation of stakeholder and public consultation strategies.
•Design of project development and delivery organisations.
•Procurement and management of design consultants and other professionals.
•Procurement of component manufacture and construction.
•Review and management of project delivery.
•Facilitation of Value Engineering and Value Management
The key requirements for the Head of Real Estate/Property Advisory Services are:
•Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Economics, Economic Planning, Business or other property related field from an internationally recognised university. Further post-graduate study or academic work in these or related fields will be viewed favourably.
•Substantial relevant work experience including major project leader roles on major real estate/property development projects. Experience of a mix of work with both developer and consultant organisations within both the public and private sectors will be preferable. Experience of undertaking this type of work in an international environment will be important.
•Preferably a Chartered Member of an appropriate professional body.
•Good real estate consultancy skills and familiarity with standard industry tools and approaches.
•Familiarity with the design, development and use of a range of cost, viability and management models.
•Good project design and management skills.
•Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written.
•Experience in managing a team, as well as dealing with internal and external clients.
•Confident, proactive character, with a track record of taking the lead in challenging situations.
•Good computer IT skills with an excellent working knowledge of full Microsoft Office package and appropriate financial modelling software.
•Strong international focus and high cultural awareness
