Head of Project Planning required to work for a large UK Defence organisation across the UK.
Head of Project Planning required to work for a large UK Defence organisation across the UK. This position will manage and develop the Project Support Services team which consists of around 40 Project Coordinators, Performance Analysts, Risk Leads and Technical Administrators. In addition to staff management you will also take responsibility for approving Project Planning estimates to support the bid process, ensuring projects perform to company standards and ensuring sufficient resources are available for projects. You will work across the UK sites (with expensed accommodation when not at your home site) with the aim of identifying and supporting the closure of gaps across the company in addition to identifying opportunities for process improvements. To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will ideally be Degree/HND qualified in an engineering discipline with experience of project planning, risk and time management, coupled with extensive managerial experience leading multi-disciplined teams. You will need strong leadership and influencing/negotiation skills as well as an understanding employee management (e.g. career planning, appraisals). Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment.
