As a Hazard Testing and Research Specialist, you will join their Materials Science Research Facility, which conducts research into the physical properties of usable materials and you develop current Hazard Testing and Research systems to meet the rigorous standards of compliance. With emphasis on Hazards electronic systems, you must also guide physics/electronics related research projects and identify suitable universities to outsource external research contracts.
Ideally qualified to degree level in Electronics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Physics, you will have an extensive background in Electronics, with experience of control and instrumentation system design. A good knowledge of data acquisition and processing techniques, together with measurement and data manipulation techniques is required, as is experience of writing technical reports and an understanding of product validation.
Due to the nature of the work undertaken, these posts only open to British Citizens. Applicants who hold a dual nationality can not be considered. All selected candidates will be required to undergo security clearance. You must also have lived and worked on 'UK soil' (includes BFPO, UK companies overseas, etc) for the past 10 years to enable the necessary security checks to be completed.
