Key Skills
Strong understanding of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals
Knowledge & experience of digital circuit design including combinational, sequential, algorithmic, synchronous & asynchronous circuits
Proven FPGA VHDL design experience
Design for manufacture and test
Extensive experience/knowledge of a wide range of electronic design automation tools and processes, including: schematic capture, verification and physical realisation of digital, analogue and mixed-signal circuits at various levels of packaging, e.g. ASIC, FPGA, PCB, MCM
Component selection technology, interpretation of data-sheets & specifications, technical discussions with component vendors & their representatives, qualification programmes
Strong technical & line management of engineers with the ability to communicate and mentor others
Desirable skills
Knowledge & experience of analogue circuit design including high accuracy, low-noise, low-power amplification
Knowledge of high speed A to D and D to A converters
Knowledge of a wide range of measurement techniques in the time, frequency, data, modulation domains
