Hardware Engineer - exciting opportunity to join this large Defence player to provide technical guidance for the Production, retrofit and repairs within the EFA ECM H/W team, covering the PSRFD (Power Supply RF Decoy), Mono and TG (Techniques Generator) LRIs.
Key Responsibility areas:
Acting as the IPT main point of contact for technical queries from AIT (assembly, integration and test) or a TDC (technical diagnostics cell).
Provision of technical diagnostic advice to facilitate repair via module exchange.
Training of test operators in diagnosing faults using Built In Test.
Providing technical leadership to progress LRIs through the requisite process(es).
Providing forecasts and technical reports to the IPT production manager, and providing technical communication with the customer, suppliers, and all levels of the business.
Control of asset movements (including module rejections / NCs), and providing technical guidance to suppliers.
Ensuring the relevant documentation for repairs is kept in order.
You will need an HNC/HND or Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent with experience in Digital/RF Electronics (FPGA, Microprocessor, Analogue) desirable; familiar with automated testing/can interpret test results desirable; internal operation of TG, Mono & PSRFD LRIs/knowledge of production process desirable; perform fault finding to module level/analysing unit performance desirable; use methodical approach and range of test equipment desirable; apply skills and knowledge across disciplines desirable and address failures caused by SW/Mechanical issues desirable.
