Our client a world leader in developing and manufacturing automotive electronics are looking for a hardware engineer to design, development and validation of cost-effective automotive and adjacent market electronic products
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
•Supporting execution of cost-effective automotive electronic product designs suitable for volume manufacture within agreed timing, cost and quality targets.
•Performing design activities including (but not limited to): requirements capture, specification writing, circuit design and analysis, component selection, DFMEA, reliability analysis, prototype builds, development and validation testing, test and engineering report writing, and documentation.
•Day-to-day co-ordination with other design team members, including Hardware, Mechanical and Software, and liaison, where required, with outsourced Validation and Manufacturing partners.
•Interfacing with the customers engineering team where required.
•Ensuring that design tasks are executed in accordance with internal and customer quality/process requirements to achieve clean product launches.
Technical Skills/Experience
•BSc or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
•At least 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or engineering.
•You will need a minimum of 1 years experience of automotive electronics design experienced gained with either a Tier 1 or OEM would be advantageous
•Furthermore you will need a 1 years experience of working with automotive quality systems (TS16949 and QS9000)
•Analytical and problem solving skills
