HARDWARE & FIRMWARE ENGINEER - WITHAM - SALARY UPTO £38,000
Our clients, an electronics manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Hardware/Firmware Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of electronic products. All aspects of the product are covered: detailed analogue and digital electronic design, supporting firmware and software, enclosure design and material specification. Duties:
Assists production with problem solving capability.
Liaise with customers to define special requirements.
Origination and maintenance of product technical specifications.
Detailed design of electronic circuitry and assemblies.
Partition the design into fundamental parts i.e. analogue, digital and firmware.
Contribute to design of product mechanical construction, in conjunction with Mechanical Designers.
Liaison with PCB Designers for definition of printed circuit board layout.
Ability to formulate a plan for product verification tests.
Liaison with production and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability.
Liaison with marketing to define new product specifications.
Component specification, costing and sourcing in conjunction with the purchasing and quality departments.
Provide detailed information to the drawing office to fully document the design and its component parts.
Liaison with production and manufacturing engineers to help solve design or process problems affecting the supply of finished product.
Qualifications
Degree in engineering or related discipline.
Experience of embedded software advantageous but not mandatory.
Mon - Thurs 7.55 am to 4.35pm Fri 7.55am to 13:15pm
