H S & E Advisor
Bootle, Liverpool
Rate of pay £24 Ltd ph
Required working knowledge:-
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental, national and international legislation, pertaining to the business in Liverpool.
• Ensure compliance with corporate health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Manage and maintain all site H,S & E management systems and procedures.
• Preparation and maintenance of risk assessments and methods statements required covering all site activities, reducing hazards and environmental impacts.
• Have a practical working knowledge of HASAWA, DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, control of legionella and control of asbestos.
• Control of contractors and site inductions etc.
• Manage and report H,S & E metrics and statistics to HSE, Local Authority and RR where applicable.
• Have a practical working knowledge of the CDM regulations.
• Chair H,S & E committee meetings.
• Chair H,S & E steering committee meetings
• Work with the Environmental Adviser to ensure compliance to ISO 14001.
• Principal contact for all accidents, incidents, leading investigations, route cause analysis, reporting and implementation of remedial action.
• An ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years working knowledge as an H S & E Officer, preferably within an engineering or construction environment along with being IT literate and familiar with MS Word, Power Point and Excel.
Certification / Accreditation
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and membership of IOSH.
