HR Business Partner required to start immediately on an initial 6 month contract, for a large defence organisation based in Govan, Glasgow.
Purpose
of Role
Provide General Support to HR Department covering 700 employees across 3 sites in UK
Key Tasks / Accountabilities
•Develop relationships in order to influence, challenge and support area of responsibility
•Coach and influence management in dealing with key people management and development issues
•Identify and analyse resource requirements within area of responsibility and sub contract manage recruitment provider in the development and implementation of appropriate solutions / working within SLA's
•Coach and support managers in the identification of training and development needs at an individual and organisational level
•Proactively review business area environment to focus on the process of continuous improvement and implement changes to working practices/processes that will enhance effectiveness and efficiency
Technical / Professional Skills
•Proven track record as an HR Business Partner, developing and implementing HR programs
•In depth appreciation /experience of employee / industrial relations - current laws, regulations and policies pertaining to HR
•Demonstrate analytical, consultative and decision making skills
•Internal customer-driven HR consulting experience - can contribute to general business issues
•Understanding of how businesses operate financially and commercially
Education / Qualifications Desired
•Degree or equivalent qualification, and ideally with formal HR qualification/certification
•Computer literate - proficient in the use of MSOffice - also familiarity with HRIS packages (ideally PS Enterprise)
•Ideally experience in using best-in-class tools, e.g. Lean, Kaisen, Sigma, etc - and Six Sigma Green-belt trained
