Job Description

The role offers the opportunity to support the business in its drive to improve levels of Employee Engagement and Satisfaction. Working with the relevant management team the role will help measure levels of engagement and satisfaction across the business and provide guidance on implementation plans and necessary interventions. The role will also provide help and support to execute a Leadership Development Programme which has been underway in the business for a couple of years aimed at improving the skills of all Leaders across the business. A key requirement of this role is to implement Corporate initiatives and requirements into the local business. Examples include;- Drugs and Alcohol Policy, Womens Network, Iip, Working Time Directive etc.
This role is also responsible for the co-ordination of the Training process during 08 / 09. The role will be involved in developing the annual budget and training plan with the business and evaluating its deployment and effectiveness.
The role will also be responsible for providing assistance in delivering the key requirements of the Businesses Communications Strategy. The successful candidate will work within a team with a breadth of RR experience and knowledge.
Depending on the experience and/or specialist background of the successful candidate other business opportunities could develop for the individual to engage in during the six-month period

Skills
CIPD Qualified.
3-6 years experience in the HR field as a professional advisor.
A successful track record in providing a generalist HR service Have a proven track record in accomplishing a couple of specific projects.
Up to date Employment Law knowledge.
Ability to support multiple projects / activities.
Experience of SAP Use of HR Systems
Working across multi-sites and / or in a Global Organisation

Experience
3 - 6 years experience in the HR field. Use of operating a HR System. Experience would preferably be as a Generalist or as more of a Specialist in the one or more of the following fields, Employee Engagement, Communications, Training, Leadership Development.
Experience and knowledge of the Nuclear Industry would be desirable but also interested in those with experience in Engineering and/or Manufacturing organisations

Hours
37 hours per week. There is an expectation that additional hours will be worked to achieve the requirements of the job. An all-inclusive rate is desirable.
