Provide HR advice and support to the Integrated Functions Groups in the UK.
The role will be a challenging one, with significant requirement to work in an international matrix with remote line managers and HR colleagues. There are also some significant change initiatives going on in these areas, including work to establish UK shared service centres with other companies. Provide HR advice and support to the Integrated Functions Groups in the UK.
The role will be a challenging one, with significant requirement to work in an international matrix with remote line managers and HR colleagues. There are also some significant change initiatives going on in these areas, including work to establish UK shared service centres with other companies. The post holder will be expected to act as the UK HR representative in these initiatives to ensure that issues are represented as well as ensuring that the international HR team are briefed and represented.
Other responsibilities will include resourcing, employee relations, training & development, succession planning, remuneration and pay benchmarking, expatriate coordination and ad-hoc HR projects.
Must be flexible and able to travel regularly between the Company and other sites within the UK overseas to Europe.
As necessary, to work with the HRBP to resolve day to day issues, and communicating current actions.
Advise, influence and persuade line managers.
Day to day contact with employees, responding to queries and providing information.
Regular contact with other HR specialists to seek advice, and working as part of a team with other HR staff.
Contact with candidates for employment.
Contact with professional organisations (e.g. EEF, CIPD) to gather information / advice.
Essential:CIPD or qualified by proven experience
Desirable:Occupational Testing Level A + B
Previous Experience
Essential:Engineering/Technical organisation experience
Desirable:Pan European exposure; TUPE experience; experience with setting up a shared service centre.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
