Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer - Hampshire
Source and specification of a suitable 3D CAD system in line with our requirements and to be compatible with our main customers systems
Implement the necessary procedures and protocols into our Quality management System
Design of sensors and transducers based on customer designs, including mouldings, connectors, cables and sealing arrangements etc
Design and sourcing of production tooling
Manual assembly of designed parts to prove design, and redesign for ease of manufacture and to be compliant with customer specifications
Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure customer specifications are met and expectations exceeded
Previous Experience:
Recent graduate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering, with at least a 2:1 hons degree.
Relevant Industrial placement is desirable but not essential.
Personality and Attributes:
High level of technical ability.
Strong, highly motivated team player.
Persistent and confident of own ability.
Good effective communicator at all levels.
Enthusiastic and energetic.
To design, organise and carry out material production and processing trials at laboratory, pilot and production scales.
To measure material properties, record, collate and interpret experimental data. Where necessary to develop new or improved testing methods.
To apply existing knowledge of materials and processes so as to maximise benefits to the business through increased sales revenue and lower operating costs.
To develop quicker and more efficient routes and processes for materials development
