The Company
There is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Project Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer to join a large cutting edge company at a time where they are expanding. Our client is committed to career progression and on-going training. The Candidate will have the opportunity to complete a three year training programme to obtain their Chartership status to eventually become a Chartered Design Engineer.
The Role
The position is for a Graduate Project Engineer to work within the Birmingham site.
This is a development role within a three year training program. The Candidate will begin as a Projects Engineer, progressing to Design Engineer to obtain their Chatership status and to eventually become a Chartered Design Engineer.
Beginning as a Projects Engineer you will provide an efficient project engineering service to support companies' production and sales areas. This will include controlling expenditure and working within timescales. You will ensure all technical and safety standards are observed. You will then progress to Design Engineer where you will design systems, plant and equipment relevant to the company. This will be done with regard to cost and safety.
The Applicant
Applicants for this position need to have a Mechanical Engineering Degree and at least two years relevant experience. They should be self motivated with initiative and the ability to solve problems with assistance of Company technical personnel and outside resources.
