My client is the UKs largest multi-utility solutions provider, with a strong position in international markets. Partnering with blue chip clients such as United Utilities, National Grid, Eon and Yorkshire Water, it works across the water, wastewater, gas and electricity industries to provide a range of services which contribute to the maintenance and provision of essential utility assets.

This is a great opportunity to join the Power Solutions business unit, which works within the electricity sector in the UK and abroad. It provides design, construction, maintenance and installation of extra high voltage transmission systems as well as providing services to distribution network operators on their medium and low voltage networks, both above and below ground. In addition other business streams include communication structures (heavily involved in the UK digital switchover due to be complete by 2012), as well as lattice steel bridges.

The business believes that the way to meet these challenges is by delivering innovative economic solutions and customer satisfaction.

Initially based in Derby, you will start your career as a Graduate Trainee. The graduate training programme lasts approximately 2years and is focused on delivering a robust and meaningful level of training. The programme is based on being given actual roles and work to do therefore contributing to the future success of the business.

You must have a flexible approach to work as part of the training programme will need you to travel to various sites throughout the UK. There may also be opportunities to do part of your training overseas and therefore a flexible approach to location will be necessary.
