Description

Alderley Systems Ltd is a multi-disciplined engineering company operating principally in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. With over 40 years experience in oilfield engineering solutions, we provide tailored solutions to meet clients individual project requirements. We currently have a vacancy for a Graduate Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer.

The purpose of this role is to design and engineer the electrical and instrumentation requirements of all skid packages, analyser houses and control panels for client projects, according to set budgets and timelines.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting in preparation of technical proposals and cost and labour estimates, and providing technical support to the sales department where needed.
• Reviewing initial project documents including specifications; budget, proposed Process and Instrumentation Diagram, layout; and any pre-award documentation which may affect design.
• Ensuring that drawings and documents for submission to client are produced in accordance with project document submission schedules.
• Providing input to relevant Project Documents (programmes, quality plans, document schedules) and reviewing any preliminary issues.
• Preparing all E&I equipment enquiries and purchase orders with consideration for project budget.
• Reviewing and approving all E&I documents raised by sub-vendors, including control panel documentation
• Verifying that complete assemblies have been built in accordance with internal E&I test and inspection documents.
• Reviewing and approving all Hazardous Area Certificates for duty and safe operation.
• Preparing test and operation and maintenance procedures.
• Ensuring that customer comments are incorporated into designs.
• Ensure that as-built data is incorporated into project documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of installation, operation, maintenance and safety manuals.
