Summary of the Role:

Our Client is a leading provider of advanced automation and real-time business intelligence systems to the Nuclear, Power Generation, and Utility (Water, Electricity, Gas, Oil) sectors. We are looking to increase our team based at our Offices at the Science and Technology Park in Cumbria.

You will be joining a friendly environment that will provide you with support and excellent technical and project experience. The role will involve the design, programming, testing, documentation and commissioning of software projects, particularly for control and automation projects but also for IT based projects.

There are many opportunities in projects that use plc and SCADA technologies. There is also the possibility of opportunities to work with technologies such as Oracle, Visual Studio, .Net, ASP, VB, Java, and Sharepoint.

If you have never come across plc and SCADA packages, then full training will be provided to the right candidates who can display good fundamental IT/computer skills coupled with the willingness to learn. There are plenty of opportunities for progression for candidates with drive and ambition.

Essential Requirements:

Recent graduate with a good degree classification. Degrees in computing, IT or electrical/electronic engineering are usually preferred, however it is emphasised that we are keen to consider degrees from all disciplines and provide the appropriate training.

Willingness to travel to customer sites on occasions. The main customer for the Office is British Nuclear Fuels based at Sellafield, a few miles down the road.
