Description
Required Design and Project Manager.
Purpose:
To join the Glasgow team as an engineer to:
.Provide leadership of projects and designers
.Be a point of contact for one or more of our clients
.Assist in the development of the business
Scope:
The position will focus on the UK but will encompass international opportunites
Key Responsibilities:
This post will be suited to a proffessional who has proven ability and is looking to get involved in the leadership of projects. Key responsibilities will include:
.Act as a lead geotechnical enigneer in a small team reporting to the head of department
.Project Management
.Take the role of design team leader on projects
.Manage delivery of projects, including management of staff resource to meet workload and ensure staff with the appropriate experience are utilised
.Ensure that technical checks and reveiws of designs are undertaken
.Assist with professional development of junior staff within the team
.Assist with the generation of new business, including preparation of offers
.Co-operate with companies other divivsions in order to add maximum value.
Location:
The position will be based at the offices in the centre of Glasgow.
Salary:
The financial package offered by Us will depend on the abilities and experience of the individual. In addition to salaries various benefits will be offered.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
.Graduate in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology plus an MSc in Geotechnical
.At or near chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist
.Valid UK driving license
Experience:
We are looking for a strong technical candidate, with appropriate amount of experience in geotechnical engineering. We are keen to meet individuals who feel they can deliver the role described above, whether their experience has been gained in a civil engineering consultancy or as a designer for a ground engineering contractor. Candidates will be asked to show how their experience demonstrates the ability to:
.Assist with the business development including preparation of offers
.Develop good working relationships with clients
.Manage projects to ensure that commercial and technical needs are satisfied
.assess complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions.
