General Manager - Electronics Manufacturing - Havant - Business Development experience required
A successful organisation within the electronics manufacturing industry are currently looking for a General Manager to play a key role in driving the business forward, through striving for optimum business performance and financial contribution, whilst delivering absolute customer satisfaction in line with targets. The role will also be heavily involved in identifying new business opportunities, in order to further their growth.
If you already have General Management experience, preferably within the Electronics Manufacturing or IT sectors, coupled with a proven track record in business development, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, successful organisation with strong scope for growth. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Developing new business and growing the revenue and contribution margin of the business
- Providing leadership, direction and motivating both the Management Team and workforce
- Ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained at all times
- Ensuring that all new contracts are commercially sound and that good commercial practice prevails
- Driving continuous improvement, challenging and reducing costs and delivering world class operational performance
- Having profit and loss responsibility
- Taking overall responsibility for purchasing, facilities maintenance, quality accreditations and health and safety
- Measuring and reporting key metrics, both internally and externally
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably in engineering, with extensive operational experience in a dynamic, fast moving industry. Experience working in electronics manufacturing or IT is highly desirable. A proven track record in developing new business opportunities is very important. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience in managing a business of more than 100 employees and revenue greater than $15. Experience of budget control and profit an loss accountability is important, as well as proficient people management skills. Six sigma and lean manufacturing experience would also be advantageous. The basic salary for this role will be c. £50-70K (dependant on skills and experience) plus bonus, car allowance, family health insurance, pension.
