THE JOB
General Manager (Global Logistics, EMEA)
Due to continued success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an experienced General Manager.
Reporting to Director Global Supply Chain and Service, the role will lead EMEA logistics (Transportation, Warehousing, Supplier / 3PL, Customs Compliance) as well as supply chain transformation activities in EMEA and will also be a part of global supply chain leadership team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transportation Management
Inbound & Outbound logistics
Improve Inbound/Outbound Freight Cost and Lead Time
Warehousing
Manage to overall cost budget for warehousing across EMEA.
Implement warehousing solutions for EMEA (e.g. Russia, Dubai, South Africa).
Working with Global Materials and Sales, deliver turns improvements in EMEA
Provide visibility, measurements and analytics for all raw and finished goods inventory
Execute strategies focused on inventory reduction
Supplier / 3PL Management
Responsible for the selection, implementation and performance management of transportation, warehousing and customs compliance providers in the EMEA region.
Establish performance criteria in key functional areas for internal and external supplier partners
Conduct timely business review and track continuous improvement goals for all suppliers
Coordinate with other regional Global Logistics leaders to build continuity in selection and performance management process
Customs Compliance
Own and lead customs compliance program and improvement initiatives in the EMEA region
Responsible for all import and export compliance activities
Create and maintain duty and trade map for products in the region
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrable experience in Logistics management
Proven understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) management
Demonstrated competency with international logistics Supplier / 3PL management and contract negotiation
Experience with UK / EU customs compliance or global duty management preferred
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred
Business management certificate level
Must have basic understanding of computerised customer order management and MRP systems.
