Civil General Foreman - Sellafield
Vacancy: General Foreman.
Salary: Up to £38k car allowance + other excellent benefits.
Location: Sellafield.
My client is one of the leading civil contractors with a turnover of £570 million in 2006. The successful candidate will be working on these new exciting projects valued from £10m-£30m.
We require an experienced General Foreman from a main contractor background. You will have worked on major projects, have excellent management skills, knowledge of
Safety and environmental legislation and experience in implementing quality systems.
Responsibilities:
* Management of operational activities
* Ensure that all plant and equipment is suitable for purpose
* Management of the operational activities of the supply chain
* Maintain operational records
* Put into action the plans for works
* Organise sub-contractors for the work
* Ensure that all projects are completed on time and budget
* Ensure that the necessary resources are available to deliver the required performance
* Monitor performance standards
* Ensure that all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are maintained
* Produce and maintain an operational training matrix
* Effectively liaise and manage operational interfaces
* Checking labour and plant returns
* Organising the logistics of the site
