Salary & Location
The General Foreman will be working on a major commercial refurbishment project in Croydon, overseeing the external and internal fit-out of Croydon Magistrates Court (£1.4M). The General Foreman will be working a weekends, evenings and out of hours work, in a contract for 12 weeks.
The General Foreman role starts early June '08.
Role Description
The General Foreman will be working weekends, conducting site inductions and toolbox talks, overseeing sub-contractors and reporting back to the Site Manager to discuss issues. The foreman must be confident in a supervisory capacity, and be prepared to work on tools if necessary.
The General Foreman will ensuring that all workmanship is of high quality and follows health and safety guidelines. Additional duties would involve dealing with site deliveries and working closely alongside the Site Manager.
The General Forman will be in contract until late August 2008.
Required Experience
The General Foreman must be a confident man manager, good communicator and essentially worked on commercial projects in the past, with a strong knowledge of structural (RC and Steel frame) and refurb construction and finishes.
Must be committed and trustworthy. Always on time and work to the highest standard.
The General Foreman must have a valid CSCS card and full 4-Day First Aid.
