Our Client is seeking an engineer for the opportunity to work under secondment from them for the Galileo Mission Segment team in Toulouse on a variety of ground segment systems engineering activities, with specific emphasise on system architecture and interfaces.

Our Client is seeking an engineer for the opportunity to work under secondment from them for the Galileo Mission Segment team in Toulouse on a variety of ground segment systems engineering activities, with specific emphasise on system architecture and interfaces.
This will typically include such activities as:
preparation of technical specifications and design documents for Galileo Mission Segment (GMS) elements.
definition of system interfaces monitoring the verification activities by the AIV contractor for the GMS.
coordination with the system prime to maintain consistency with Galileo methods and standards.
monitoring and control of assigned subcontractor engineering and development activities
compliance with element specifications and interfaces in coordination with the GMS Design and Performance teams.
Integrity, operability and maintainability of GMS elements in coordination with the GMS integration and services team
organisation of element development reviews from a technical aspect
preparation and control of technical verification and qualification.
operability of the GMS architecture using dynamic modelling. definition and maintenance of operational scenarios (by means use cases).
maintaining consistency between GMS Element development
activities and the dynamic models for operability.
Candidates should have a first degree or equivalent in science, engineering or mathematics, Preferably and upper 2nd class degree in physics, electronic engineering or software engineering.
Engineering experience in aerospace, defence, telecommunications or navigation systems industries, preferably in space systems ground segment engineering, including the following disciplines, satellite navigation, satellite communications or software engineering. Specific experience in GPS, EGNOS or Galileo programmes would be an advantage.
This position is is immediately available for a minimum period of 1 year, extendable according to programme schedule. The candidate will be part of Navigation and Radar Engineering s Applications and Software Group. Project assignment and task management will be provided by the Toulouse engineering team.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
