German is not necessary as you will be working in an english-speaking environment.
You would be joining this leading energy services company which designs and manufactures gas turbines. As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the performance analysis of existing components and development of new aftermarket products to improve performance of existing gas turbines. Your responsibilities will also include the development, maintenance and application of gas turbine performance prediction methods to model and analyze industrial gas turbines. You will undertake the development and application of state-of-the-art Finite Element Methods (FEM) to analyze the structural behaviour of industrial turbines components components. This will also include the development and application of component life assessment and prediction tools for new and used gas turbine components.
In addition to the above responsibilities you will participate in product design reviews; provide support in creating and maintaining process and product specifications and in validation of analysis tools through laboratory and field testing of relevant products and components. You will also support Sales, Design and Repair Groups in answering technology questions and solving generic problems.
Successful candidates will be educated to degree-level or equivalent and have turbo-machinery related knowledge of heat transfer, materials and thermo-structural analysis.
