We are recruiting for 3 Forensic Consultants to work for a leading defence company. They are offering an initial 3-6 month contract.

e forensic Technical Manager, a Digital Forensic Investigator will be responsible for using analytical and investigative techniques to identify, collect, examine, and preserve information from digital media in a forensic manner. Any evidence obtained should be acceptable in a court of law and the Investigator may be required to give evidence in court in support of their actions. Cases undertaken may involve criminal or unauthorised activity such as murder, rape, fraud, possession of indecent images of children, hacking attacks, and the breaking of acceptable use policies.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/qualifications:
Knowledge of software tools Encase and Access Data FTK2 Transition
Secure and retrieve data from computer systems, in accordance with national guidelines, utilising proprietary and bespoke software
Process the recovered data into a form suitable for further investigation
Examine the processed data in accordance with best practice and produce resulting information in a form which can be readily understood and evaluated
Evidence obtained should be acceptable in a court of law
Providing evidence when required in a court of law
Familiar with the principles and practices involved in computer forensic investigations
Skills in data encryption, Data mining, internet technology, TCP/IP
Providing evidence acceptable in a court of law
Casework undertaken may involve the viewing of a potentially distressing/disturbing nature
Produce reports relating to information recovered from computers and other investigations
To maintain skills and keep abreast of latest developments in the area of digital forensics
Able to work to project deadlines either explicit or implied
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in Computer Forensics
Degree or MSc in Computer Forensics
The successful candidate will need to undergo a basic security clearance.
