Description
This is a role which will see you providing technical, managerial and marketing support within our Rivers and Flood defence team whilst working on a wide range of river, estuary and flood defence projects. Itll mean preparing reports and managing client relationships on a project by project basis, as well as keeping up to date with developments in methodology, technology and legislation. Assisting the Project Manager on large and complex projects, whilst also deputising for him at times, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget. Youll also be responsible for providing marketing assistance of Company and Team services, preparing proposals and undertaking business planning. Another key element will be providing technical direction to graduates whilst also mentoring junior staff.
Alongside experience of rivers or engineering and with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject, youll either have or be close to achieving chartered status via MICE or CIWEM. Youll also bring the ability to manage work streams and build relationships with clients and colleagues alike. In addition, youll be technically competent in fluvial modelling or flood-defence design. You'll also have awareness of river / civil engineering / flood risk management industry procedures and best practice and an understanding of project management and commercial aspects of projects.
