Our leading client is looking for an experienced Engineering Consultant to take on a position within their Intergrity Management team.
As a Fitness for Service Consultant within the group you will be responsible for the quality and timely delivery of work based on client agreed briefs and targets. Fitness for Service encompasses a wide range of activities, including equipment integrity technical problem-solving, HSE issues, reliability improvement, as well as application of best practice stress analysis and fracture mechanics. Your preferred working style will be facilitative, participative and process driven. Your work will take place on the client's sites, involving both domestic and foreign travel.
Key Qualifications
Sound knowledge and experience of stress analysis, fracture mechanics and fitness for service approaches and codes. You may be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an appropriate technical and or managerial discipline, or HNC with extensive relevant experience.
Required Knowledge & Experience
An excellent safety record
Experience of practical application of stress analysis, fracture mechanics and fitness for service approaches.
Knowledge of pressure vessel codes and standards
Sound knowledge of stress analysis and fracture mechanics e.g.
Stress Analysis using traditional and finite element techniques
Fracture mechanics (to BS7910)
FEA software packages
Fitness for Service (to API579)
Technical Problem Solving
Ability to work both on a 'stand-alone' basis or as a member of a multi-discipline team
Comfortable with working in unfamiliar environments, such as where English is the second language or cultural issues dominate.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience
Extensive experience in problem-solving environment in the oil and gas, petrochemical or other high hazard industry.
Experience of working internationally.
