My client specialises in the installation and maintenance of fire detection systems within hotels, industrial sites, offices etc. The currently have a requirement for a Field Fire Service Engineer.
Overview
We currently have a requirement for a Fire Service Engineer to support around the South Coast region from Southampton to Poole
The role will involve working on client sites which range from hotels to industrial sites carrying out testing, fault finding and commissioning work on fire alarms systems and would suit someone who has previous worked with fire alarms
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
-Service, commission and fault rectification of Fire and Emergency Light systems
-Liaise with customer and management to provide comprehensive information, including additional works quotations.
And would be able to demonstrate:
-Good communication and customer relation skills
-Ability to work unsupervised and provide documentation to a high standard
-Ability to demonstrate and deliver good Competencies and Core behaviours including those of Honesty, Integrity, Flexibility, Teamwork and Enthusiasm.
-Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem solving.
-Knowledge of procedures for servicing of fire systems and other associated products to British Standards.
Key Result Areas:
-Achieve service KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
-Ensure all value added opportunities are identified and acted upon through SWQ's (Small Works Quotes) and ESSA's.
-Participate in out of hours callout rota.
-Adhere to processes ensuring company quality standards are maintained.
-Build successful relationships with customers to facilitate the resolution of problems in an appropriate manner to ensure business for the future.
Essential
-Experience in field service environment or related industry.
-Qualified to HNC, City and Guilds level and/or qualified by relevant technical experience/apprenticeship.
-Full driving license.
Desirable
-Proven experience in the installation and servicing of fire systems and other associated products to British Standards.
-Experience working with BS5839 regulations.
