• JOB: Finance & Administration Manager • LOCATION: Sheffield • SALARY: £40,000-£45,000 + Benefits
Our client an established manufacturer of wear resistant components and general purpose hard facings based in Sheffield is looking for a Finance and Administration Manager.
The Role:
To develop, implement and mange the Company accounting, financial, administration and information management procedures, systems and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS:
• Manage all aspects of the accounting, finance, administration and information management functions within the business.
• Collate and produce, against an agreed timescale, financial management information including monthly and year end management accounts and operating statements.
• Prepare and produce annual forecasts and budgets with updates as required.
• Design, implementation and coordination of month and year end activities to ensure clean and accurate' closedown.
• Implement and manage systems and procedures to monitor and control cash within the business.
• Implement and manage credit control systems and procedures to ensure customer stay within agreed limits.
• Maintain statutory records; prepare statutory accounts capable of being strictly audited.
• Manage all aspects of VAT requirements.
• Financial validation and management of Cap Ex proposals.
• Interpret and advise upon financial matters.
• Install systems and procedures to ensure that information required to improve the efficient running of the business is readily captured, analysed and available.
• Ensure sales, purchase and nominal ledgers are managed and maintained efficiently and accurately.
• Design, implementation and management of product costing system together with correct price and stock lists.
• Ensure functional managers have ready access to the data and information they require to improve the efficient running of their debts and the business overall.
• Implement and manage on a day to day basis an integrated IT and administration system with defined procedures across the business that assist and improve in the efficient running of the business.
• Manage outside contractors and suppliers to ensure full delivery of business IT requirements.
• Manage payroll operations for all employees to ensure accuracy and on time.
• Maintain relevant personnel records of senior employees.
• Maintain Company Fixed Asset Register.
• Manage on a day to day basis and deal with all insurance aspects and issues.
• Proactively seek and implement improvements in the accountancy, finance and administration functions that will improve the efficient running of the business LEAN office.
• As a member of the Senior Management Team proactively contribute to beneficial business activities and identify issues and actions requiring attention to improve the performance and profitability of the Company.
• Promote effective communication with other functional areas of the business
Experience:
• Preferred Experience within the manufacturing sector.
• Desirably with a background in SME.
• Experience with Sage and Excel.
