Description
Field Service Engineer (Lift Engineer)
Our client is a well established UK wide family owned business. Since its birth nearly 150 years ago the company have grown and specialised in design and maintenance on passenger lifts.
Due to new long term contracts being won the company now require additional engineers who want to succeed through the business. This company are committed in getting the right candidates and will train and develop its staff to be highly skilled competent lift engineers
As the Field Service Engineer you will be working from home and visiting sites to do planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on passenger lifts. You will be responsible for planning out each month's service routes and you will be expected to build rapport with all your clients. The work will include electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair. If you like planning and doing your own work whilst still enjoying the customer facing side, this is the role for you.
You will have experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair as well as installations. Ideally you will have knowledge on single / 3 phase electrics, micro processors, hydraulics, motors and bearings. However you will be trained at the clients Head Quarters and be sent to study for a NVQ Level 2 in Lift Maintenance service and repair.
Vehicle plus fuel expenses
£19-£22k plus o/t plus call out expenses
