Description
Our client is a World class manufacturer of machine tools used in the sheet metal industry and currently has a requirement for an additional Field Engineer. The role will be based in the Reading / Swindon area but will occasionally require travel throughout the UK. The role would ideally suit an experienced Service Engineer or a recent graduate keen to work in a hands on, customer facing environment.

Main requirements of the role
- Installation of equipment at customers sites
- Training customer in operation, maintenance and safety aspects
- Regular routine service of machines and associated equipment
- Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns
- Promote tooling sales and sales of maintenance contracts
- Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment
Key attributes required
- HNC/HND/Degree in any engineering related subjects
- Understanding of electrical/electronic/hydraulic and mechanical drawings and systems
- Enthusiastic and self motivated
- Smart and professional presentation
- Ability to work alone and under pressure
- Ability to communicate in all situations at all levels of an organisation
