Our client is an international engineering business specialising in the control and automation of turbine systems for various industries in both on and offshore locations.
Currently they require an experienced service / commissioning engineer to support UK and overseas installation, service and commissioning projects.
Ideally the right candidate will be professionally qualified in a relevant discipline, possess excellent PLC programming and fault finding skills (Allen Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi) and have previous experience with turbine control systems i.e. Woodward, Speedtronic or Rustronic.
In addition to the software systems engineers must also be familiar with GE LM Technology i.e. LM6000, LM25000 engines or any other Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney Solar or Siemens system.
A 24/7 call out system is in operation and engineers will be expected to join the call out rota after 6 months, the role will also involve both UK and Worldwide travel so engineers must be flexible and possess a can do attitude (Excellent rates of pay are applicable to overseas assignments).
Engineers who have previous experience in mapping out emissions would be of considerable interest.
In return our client is offering an excellent basic salary, overtime payments after 40 hours, travel allowances, medical care and a private pension scheme.
