Description
URGENT: Fault Management Engineer required for a 13 week rolling contract, ideally with good understanding of technical principles (radio, transmissio
or cable desired)
Must be able to work shifts and rotate between early, late and night shifts 7 days per week
Purpose of Role
To ensure all customer case reports are managed to a successful conclusion within contracted Service Level Agreements
Responsibilities
Proactively manage faults within contracted SLAs
Discuss faults / aid early restoration of service
Undertake regular reviews of faults / action as necessary
Pass updates to customers
Monitor sub contractor performance (on both single failures and as on going requirement)
Escalate failures by sub contractor to Line Management
Ensure that all Engineering hours works are conducted with the correct permissions
Maintain logbook of activities to demonstrate standards are maintained
Undertake continuous technical development
Undertake any reasonable duties from time to time
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training Desired
3 years experience in fault management
Good telephone manner and customer focused
Sound technical knowledge (Radio, Transmission or Cables is desirable)
Ability to resolve problems, whilst maintaining a focus of impact on the decisions made
Working knowledge of the Underground Rail Network would be highly advantageous
