Our client requires an experienced facilities maintenance engineering to manage the Utilities across their 42 acre site. Experience with utilities or a facilities maintenance role that has included work with boilers, water, air etc.
This position requires a background in 2 of the 3 key areas.
Working knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley / Rockwell or similar)

This position may suit Candidates from a hospital, Pharmaceutical or power station background -as the working environment is generally a steam filled atmosphere.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small highly skilled autonomous team (5) working to ensure the site steam, air, water and effluent needs are met 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out all E&I maintenance and repairs in the Utilities area. When required provide operational cover for the shift and be able to operate and maintain the site boiler and cover the various utilities operations across the whole site.
Site utilities equipment includes; Site boiler, Reverse Osmosis and ozone systems, 8 high pressure air compressors and the site effluent system
Other Duties include:
Plan and arrange the annual shutdown & inspection whilst minimising the impact to the
site
Working within the team you will be expected to manage day to day staff requirements,
maintaining minimal staff operating levels and have a flexible approach to working
hours to meet the business needs.
Carry out project work such as department improvements, including managing budgets
& contractors to ensure project success
Supervise, allocate and maintain day to day records & duties i.e. water samples, jobs
completion, shift process audits.
Responsible for electrical maintenance monthly spend
To supervise/maintain energy saving efficiencies.
Carry out/organise all electrical maintenance work within the utilities department.
Maintain compliance to all Health Safety & Environment policies in all areas within the
utilities department.
Take a proactive approach to resolve all day to day problems within the Utilities
contract.
Administer a permit to work system for all staff and all sub contractors.
To review and fully understand all emergency procedures.
Supervise and maintain all consumable stock levels
Attend and manage any critical or major plant failures.
Maintain all electrical and operational safety inspections
Arrange/lead monthly reviews with client to share KPI results
Follow best working practices
