Description

A facilities engineer is required to work on various equipment projects mainly related to tub assembly
but will be expected to manage projects across the site. The engineer will be totally responsible for
cost, timing and quality this will involve negotiating with suppliers to ensure company aspirations
are achieved. This needs to be achieved complying with all the current health & safety and
environmental legislation.

Objective
A facilities engineer is required to work on various equipment projects mainly related to tub assembly

cost, timing and quality this will involve negotiating with suppliers to ensure company aspirations
are achieved. This needs to be achieved complying with all the current health & safety and
environmental legislation.

Responsibilities
• The facilities engineer will be controlling facility projects, with his / her main responsibility being
to manage and control the contractors.
• This will involve the following activities:
• Specification Investigate the customers (usually production) requirements determining and
identifying the most appropriate solution. This solution will then be turned into a written
specification to be issued for quotation.
• Vendor Selection Evaluate and investigate the supplier's tender submissions and recommend
the preferred supplier.
• Design Development As more detail becomes available the facility design may need to change
the project engineer will be responsible for monitoring and controlling cost changes.
• Equipment Manufacture and Installation Ensure the standard of equipment and installation is
acceptable
• Commission Ensure the plant and equipment operates within the specification and achieves
the targets set out in the specification.
• Manufacturing Feasibility To determine manufacturing feasibility of production specifications
from, both engineering CAD, clay models and engineering drawings.
• Quality Improvements To liaise with current production, to ensure lessons learned
roadmap actions are integrated into forward planning activities to achieve continual
improvement in processes and procedures within Manufacturing Engineering.

Qualifications/Experience:
The candidate will need to be graduate calibre with relevant experience of managing and controlling
high capital facility installation projects.
