Description
The Commercial Administrator will be responsible for operating and managing the cost control systems for the department and supporting wider commercial activities such as energy procurement, business rates and insurance matters.
Facilities Commercial Administrator
Facilities are responsible for operating and maintaining site infrastructure and utilities, management of support services, in-house construction management of building and engineering installations, building fabric maintenance and wider commercial activities such as property/construction insurance matters, business rates and energy procurement.
Role:
The Commercial Administrator will be responsible for operating and managing the cost control systems for the department and supporting wider commercial activities such as energy procurement, business rates and insurance matters.
Responsibilities:
Supporting in the preparation and negotiation of contracts for maintenance and engineering works
Supporting in the procurement of energy for Manufacturing site and associated supplier sites
Control of business rates
Dealing with insurance matters
Working in conjunction with other key business areas (including Purchasing, Accounts and Finance) to
expedite requisitions order processing and invoicing
Generate monthly cost report highlighting and reporting on budget spend to target
Daily control of spend tracking systems
Supporting Facilities Management in Budget proposal preparation
The successful candidate will require strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial staff and dealing with external consultants / contractors
Ability to present data graphically and in Power Point format for presentation to management
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Pro active approach to problem solving
Excellent team player
Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office and other analytical tools)
Competent in working with and generating Excel spreadsheets
ONC/HNC in Business Studies / Accounting / Finance would be advantageous
