One of our key clients requires a versatile digital design engineer who is capable of performing complex digital design duties within the Processor Product Group working on a range of satellite equipments.
Other key tasks will include, managing component supply issues, performing component stress analysis and reliability analysis.
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge & experience of digital circuit design including combinational, sequential, algorithmic, synchronous & asynchronous circuits
- Detailed requirements capture experience for complex digital designs including FPGA design flow.
- substantial proven FPGA VHDL design experience
- Design for manufacture and test
- Experience/knowledge of a wide range of electronic design automation tools and processes, including: schematic capture, verification and physical realisation of digital, analogue and mixed-signal circuits at various levels of packaging, e.g. ASIC, FPGA, PCB, MCM
Desirable skills
- Knowledge of analogue circuit design
- Stress and reliability analysis
- Experience of performing Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA's)
- Knowledge of software as applied to embedded systems
- Component selection technology, interpretation of data-sheets & specifications, technical discussions with component vendors & their representatives, qualification programmes
