External Sales/Applications Engineer - Field based
A minimum of 2 years field based experience selling technical products and solutions, ideally in a mechanical engineering
environment. A proven track record in developing sales growth and exceeding targets through effective account
management and securing new business; within the general engineering and process control industries.
To develop sales of flow meters through direct contact with customers and prospective customers
and assist with the continued double digit growth of the company. The role will be office based but
will require travel throughout the UK around 50% of the time.
KNOWLEDGE
Technical engineering background Essential
Understanding of flow-management processes Desirable
Experience of selling into 1 or more of the following industries (desirable):
o oil and gas
o pharmaceutical
o aerospace
o automotive
o food and general process
High level of PC literacy using ; Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer Essential
Use of CRM software - Essential
General business communication e.g. Letter writing, emails, sales quotations, reports, brochures - Essential
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Full clean UK driving license
SCOPE
For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to develop into a managerial role with
responsibly for our overseas accounts as well as supporting and developing the distribution
network.
Salary guide is £30K basic + car allowance + commission (uncapped) with £10K+ easily achievable.
