Export Control Officer - to facilitate the efficient operation of the Export Compliance function providing pro-active support to the Export Control Officer with the management of UK, US and European export authorisations.

Export Control Officer - to facilitate the efficient operation of the Export Compliance function providing pro-active support to the Export Control Officer with the management of UK, US and European export authorisations.
Research, investigate and develop an application plan for Authorised Economic Accreditation (AEO).
Ensure AEO status is achieved and maintained. Investigate the use of Commodity codes and implement an internal and external process to ensure HMR & C procedures are complied with. Ensure all shipping paperwork is compliant with both internal processes and UK Government requirements. Liaise with internal customers to ensure that all relevant information is understood for F680 clearances. Apply for F680 clearances and liaise with Government Departments to ensure these are received within agreed timescales. Ensure compliance with Inward Processing Relief/Outward Processing Relief (IPR/OPR) regulations, in conjunction with the Export Control Administrator. Act as main point of contact for all internal queries on export control compliance. Conduct internal awareness training in conjunction with the Export Control Administrator.
Update and upkeep internal awareness presentations. Apply for Export Licence applications using the electronic licensing system (SPIRE). Ensure Licenses are received within agreed timescales. Ensure that all import/export authorisations are in place for smooth entry/exit to other countries.
Prepare and assist with government agency audits. Promote a culture of Export Control compliance and increased awareness. Undertake to review internal export control compliance systems and procedures.
Undertake any other departmental tasks as required.

Previous export experience, particularly in regard to applying for import/export authorisations. Previous experience with conducting internal and external audits.
