Job Title, Expeditor. Location, Milton Keynes. Salary £16000 - £18000
Main purpose of role:
Ensure orders are delivered on-time, to the correct specification, at the agreed cost, and ensure uninterrupted components supply to line.
Main tasks:
• Control, issue, develop and administer internal and external supply schedules.
• Effectively progress all general shortages and line stopping shortages.
• Assess suppliers, monitor, publish and feedback delivery performance.
• Assist with general administration and housekeeping of the Visual Manufacturing system.
• Proactively assess and expedite materials in advance of stock-outs.
• Issue expediting reports to suppliers and ensure they are completed in writing with promised delivery dates within 24hours of issue.
• Travel to suppliers' sites to audit and progress physical work in progress.
• Update shortages report daily.
• Assist Materials/Change Controller with investigation and implementation of preventative actions to remove the causes of shortages and stock-outs.
• Assist to develop and administer a late-delivery penalty system for poorly performing suppliers.
